Have you ever had one of those days where everything seems to go right, you feel like you've got a handle on things, and you know whatever comes your way, you'll be able to face it?

Yeah, yesterday wasn't one of those days.

Ian Falconer dedicated his wonderful book Olivia to "My mother, who for better or worse always encouraged me."

I've often thought about that quote.  If Lil'Nathan ever writes a book or wins an award I can already see/ hear his dedication:  "For my mother, who never understood boys and whose eyes would glaze over when I told her about my ideas.  HA! I did it anyway."
