MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

We received about 20 inches of snow over the weekend. Yesterday it warmed up enough that it turned into great packing snow. We had snowball fights, built this snowman, and had a great time sledding down our little hill.

And Mary made a snow angel (look carefully, you'll see it.)

Joseph still has a hard time walking in his snowpants and boots. Here he'd just toppled over again, right after we'd gotten inside for the night.

After dinner (warm soup) we watched A Charlie Brown Christmas. It's one of my favorite Christmas movies and I think the kids enjoyed it, too.

This morning Mary came in bright and early.

Mary: What time did you say we could up this morning?

Me (1/2 asleep): 7:30. It's 6 o'clock, go back to bed.

Mary: Okay. I just wanted to know.

She left. I closed my eyes and the door reopened.

Mary: I went back to bed. Is it 7:30 yet?

Me: No, it's 6:10. Go back to bed.

This repeated about every 15 mins until 7:25. She announced "It's 7:31. The kitchen clock is right, your clock is slow!!" We decided to wake Joseph so he could join us.

This is one of the things Joseph found in his stocking. A very big hit. He wore them all morning.

This is Lil'Nathan playing with Joseph's toy from Santa. (I used to have one just like it, but it got lost in one of my mom's moves. A very cool toy. Good job, Santa.)

And here is our little Princess Petunia.

Joseph stayed busy with this toy for about 20 mins. Then he figured out the pegs come out if you yank them. End of hammer. Hello lost pegs.

And Mary and Joseph being cute together.

Here's Joseph opening a gift--socks, I think. He's cute, but it gives me the opportunity to show off my new haircut. Nathan cut it for me yesterday morning. He cut off 11"... and was such a good sport about it. And he did a great job! I really like it.

All in all, it was a wonderful two days. We are going to remain irresponsible tonight (maybe watch another movie) and then tomorrow it's back to work. Nathan has quizzes and exams to take and somehow we need to get ourselves ready to leave for Chicago. We are planning to leave on Tues or Wed. The phone is being shut off Tues and we can't move into our apartment in Chicago until Fri. We're toying with a side trip to Palmyra on the way out. We hope to miss all snow. :) Wish us luck getting ready and getting out. I need to make a list... make that several. Ohmygosh! We have to be in Lebanon at 9 am tomorrow for a tune-up on the van, blood test for Joseph, and few essentials from the Co-op! I almost forgot.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey Lisa, thanks for posting all of these stories about what you are up to. I love reading them. The way you tell the stories (especially the ones involving kids) cracks me up. You're the best!
